St. Joseph‘s School is a christian unaided minority English medium School established and conducted by the Catholic Diocese of Bhagalpur for the education of boys and girls up to higher secondary School level which is affiliated to The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. It is open to all without distinction of caste or creed. The purpose of the institution is to impart to its pupils a sound, moral, intellectual, and physical education, to train them to be useful and loyal citizens of India, and to help them to become agents of needed social changes in the country. Realizing that education is an all round development of the pupil, the institution constantly endeavours to direct to this end all Curricular studies and co-Curricular activities with special emphasis on discipline, formation of character and self reliance The medium of institution is English, but very special emphasis is given to Hindi, the national language, Moral instruction, which is essential for character formation is imparted to all pupils.

St Joseph's School, Bhagalpur is an English medium school up to class 12th located in Bihar state of India. It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. It was established in 1983 by Rt Rev Urban Mc Garry, the first Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bhagalpur. Father Varghese Pananghat served the school as the principal for 31 years The principal is Father Amal Raj. Father Varghese Panangatt was the founding and the longest serving principal for 31 years. The school is managed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bhagalpur. The school has three basketball courts, premises for badminton, table tennis it has a football pitch and a permanent stadium.[2] The school has five blocks as kindergarten, primary section, middle school, senior section and a plus two section. The school has a remarkable excellence in both tenth and twelfth level. It is also a well-known name in sports as it regularly produces national level talents in various fields. Students get ample opportunities in fields of dance and music with a well-built auditorium. It has seating capacity of around 500 people with a permanent live stage and a well equipped light and sound system. The motto of the school is Excellence, Virtue, Discipline.
